On Tuesday, March 7th, His Grace Bishop Longin of New Gracanica and Midwestern America, as diocesan hierarch and chairman, convened another meeting of the Organizing Committee established to coordinate and plan festivities for the translation of the relics and canonization of St. Mardarije of Libertyville which will be held on July 14th – 16th, 2017.
Committee members discussed the various aspects of the upcoming celebration and festivities, and agreed on tasks and timelines with special attention to the large number of delegations from Orthodox sister churches expected to participate in this historic event.
The Committee is composed of the various Subcommittees responsible for the implementation of plans.
Bishop Longin blessed the work and involvement of scores of clergy, volunteers, and donors for this significant Diocesan event.
